Hematology:
Hematology is the branch of Medicine concerned with the study of Diagnosis, Prognosis, Treatment and Prevention of Disease related to blood. Laboratory Analysis of blood is analyzed with the help different fully Automated and semi-automated machines.
Types of Analyzers
Fully Automated Analyzers:
Automated Analyzers are the Medical Laboratory Instrument Which are designed to measure different chemical characteristics of all biological sample quickly, with minimum human assistance. These properties of blood components and its fluids may be useful in the diagnosis of disease.
Types of Analyzers Used in Hematology:
There are two main types of analyzers which are used to perform Complete Blood Count/Full Blood Count.
1. 5 Parts Analyzers.
Five Parts Analyzers are known as five parts because these analyzers provide Differential Leukocyte Count which include Neutrophils, Eosinophil, Basophils, Monocytes, Lymphocytes. There are varieties of Analyzers Available in Markets, But Mindray BC 6200 and Sysmex Xn-1000 are available in Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre, Main Laboratory.
3 Parts Analyzers.
Three Parts Analyzers are known as five parts because these analyzers provide Differential Leukocyte Count which include Neutrophils, Lymphocytes, and Monocyte, while it expresses other two quantity in MXD “Mixed”. There are varieties of Analyzers Available in Markets, But Sysmex Kx-21 and Sysmex-Xp100 are available in Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre, Main Laboratory.
